Due to my schedule and my complete forgetting to pack snacks I haven't been eating the best food. I will say though that I am only eating three meals a day! On those stressful days (you know what I mean) the notorious taco bell "fourth meal" would pop up here and there. I have been off the bell for a while now since San Marcos has a taco bueno. Strangely they serve real beef there... WEIRD! I've cut off soda for the most part, but I have sinned the last few days with a diet coke and a bit of diet dr.pepper, and a diet strawberry limeaide from sonic. The only thing going for those drinks is that they are diet, and will only give me cancer later on down the line, so I can think about the here and now!
These hills on campus are evil. You know that story that goes "uphill both ways"? That's what it is actually like going to school here at Texas State. I can tell I have been losing weight but I am only stepping on that demonizing guilt machine once a week to try and keep the morale up. Last thing I need is to see a number go awry and run to the nearest McDonalds on to get my McGrubbin on. Anyways, official weigh in is going to be Monday after I have some professional photos taken of me! I can't wait for that!!! Amber Ghosh Photography is probably some of the best stuff I have seen in a long time! Not to mention I get the special A-Team Discount :-p
Today was my LONGEST day out of the whole week, so you can bet there are no trips to the gym on Wednesdays. Ever. Its a weird thing going to gym by myself and working out alone. I am used to being in social situations when ever I decide to break a sweat and today I felt like a lonely bologna. I am kind of liking it though. The biggest debbie downer of my day is the long wait between a few of my classes. I actually have the energy to stay awake through all of them. NO NAPS TODAY!
So for one of my classes I encountered a swimming test that consisted of three parts: long distance swim, under water swimming 30yards, and treading/floating for 10 minutes. Oddly enough the holding my breath part was the WORST. I thought I was going to die. I literally started to see white when I gave up towards the end. I totally made my mark though. I'm a ballaaaaaaaaa! Since dislocating my shoulder last semester in karate, I thought that the long distance swim would give me issues, especially since we could not push off the wall. I hated that part. I hate swimming from a dead stop. I wasn't the last to finish either, I did half of it freestyle, and decided I needed more air intake so I flipped over and did backstroke the rest of the way. My two favorite strokes. I could have pussied out like the boys did and did breast stroke, but I swam like a professional fish. The water is where I belong. I am tempted to join the swim team even. I gotta get my chops WAY up for that though. If I was winded after those 4 laps then I have a long ways to go.
In karate today we learned some bow staff stuff, which was pretty much AWESOME. My colorguard skills instantly clicked in and the guy I was working with was so flustered. I am not a good teacher, but when it comes to flag stuff or pole stuff in general I get very critical. "Stop cutting your planes, no you do a full spin here, straight down! stay in your TOASTER!!!e%we^&#$%@#%^" That is never fun to deal with, but always fun to watch as my guard friend and I just kind of got it while others didnt. I like being the best. Staff is easily going to be my best "subject" in Kaju. I can't wait for my first kaju tourney. I am ready to intimidate some girls into submission, and if I must beat them so be it.
Well, this is where we come to an end to my lovely jaunt down 12hour memory lane.
oh and if you ever get the chance to take a class on human sexuality, DO IT. Especially if you consider yourself to be a "prude"
